Klättermusen · Tjalve 2.0 Backpack 10L
Ten litres that stay put when you run.
The Tjalve 2.0 opens at the top under a lid, cinches with a drawcord and holds to your body with a four-point sternum strap. The back panel and shoulder straps are mesh, the hip belt comes off, and a hydration bladder slides inside, hose on the shoulder strap.
Trail running · Fast hiking
The two-hour outing, the summit before noon, the hut there and back.
The name likely comes from Þjálfi (Tjalve in Swedish), Thor's running servant. From the Edda.

On your back
Four points on the chest, mesh on the back.
- Four-point sternum strapOne fixed side and one elastic side: the pressure spreads across your chest and the pack does not jump at every stride.
- 3D mesh back panel and shoulder strapsAir moves between the pack and your back when the pace picks up. Short cut, for a 40 to 49 cm back.
- Removable hip beltA thin strap held by toggles: it comes off in two moves when you do not want it.

back length
Measure your back before you choose.
- Measure your back from the 7th cervical vertebra (the bump at the base of your neck) to the top of your hips, along the spine. Compare with the range above.
- Too short or too long? You have 30 days to send it back.

Klättermusen was founded in Umeå, Sweden, and has made mountain packs since 1975. Its packs have been made of recycled polyamide since 2009.
Klättermusen repairs zips, seams and buckles. Outside the guarantee the service is paid, on quotation; Eiken passes the request on.
Empty it and let it dry after the outing, hand wash with a mild soap, reproof if needed.
Eiken's take
- Our pick
- A proper running harness for 320 grams: it holds to your body when the pace picks up, and you forget it the rest of the time.
- Worth knowing
- 10 litres is a layer, water and food, not a full day in the mountains. And with no frame or padded hip belt, all the weight goes on your shoulders.
- Who it's for
- Trail runners and fast hikers with a 40 to 49 cm back, out for a few hours.
