Deuter · Freerider Pro 30+10 SL
Powder between the birches, shovel and probe on your back.
Between the birches, snow flies at every turn; the shovel and probe travel in their own pocket, ready without emptying anything. The Freerider Pro 30+10 SL is the 32+10 recut for a 38 to 48 cm back: the same back opening, the same roll-top that gives you 10 more litres, the same LiteSnow back panel, and a recycled polyamide fabric.
Freeride · Ski touring · SL fit
Up on foot, then freeride down, on a 38 to 48 cm back.

Deuter
Augsburg, 1898: mailbags first, then backpacks.
Hans Deuter opens a canvas workshop in Augsburg, Bavaria, and is soon sewing mailbags for the Royal Bavarian Post. In 1938, the first ascent of the Eiger North Face is made with a Deuter pack on the climber's back.
In 1984 came Aircomfort, a tensioned mesh that holds the pack away from your back. The Futura series took it up in 1999, and the Futura Pro carries it today.
Deuter guarantees its packs for 2 years against defects in materials and workmanship, on top of the legal guarantee, then repairs them at a shared cost. For a pack bought from Eiken, the claim goes through us.
Eiken's take
- Why we chose it
- The full Freerider on a short back: the same roll-top, the same back opening that leaves the skis in place, and its fabric is recycled polyamide.
- Worth knowing
- 1,080 g empty for a recommended 6 to 10 kg: it's a pack made to be loaded; to climb fast and light, the Updays 24 SL weighs 680 g.
- Who it's for
- If you're between 1.58 and 1.78 m tall and climb on foot to freeride down, skis or board on your back.
Baptiste, Eiken
